WRSL on the Linge
Nice work carried out on the River Linge
Van Aalsburg B.V. has carried out extensive work from September 2019 to January 2020 along the River Linge on behalf of WSRL (Waterschap Rivierenland). This is an ideal situation for us because it is just 10 km from where our company is located. The work was spread out over approx. 74 km along the winding River Linge, from the village of Geldermalsen to the city of Gorinchem.
The work consisted of:
- Installation of stone dams in the embankment at various locations
- refilling 4 km of existing revetment with willow wood
- 22 km pruning work on the embankment
- 1.2 km new revetment installed
